Tuna noodle casserole

This classic tuna noodle casserole is a perfect comfort food staple.

Ingredients

  • 2 5-ounce cans tuna in water
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup butter crackers (like Ritz), crushed
  • 2 1/2 cups egg noodles
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Cook noodles according to directions on the package, then add peas during the last 3 minutes of cooking. Drain.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine soup, milk and garlic powder. Stir in noodles, peas and tuna (drained).
  4. Transfer mixture to a greased casserole dish, and bake for 15 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven, top with cracker crumbs and return to oven for another 5 minutes.
