Here's a delicious and easy recipe for pumpkin petit fours.

Ingredients

  • 1 can pumpkin
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Gingerbread cake
  • Marizpan

Directions

  1. Combine the pumpkin, sugar, and spices in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Slice three thin layers from the gingerbread cake. Place the bottom layer on a work surface.
  3. Spread the pumpkin mixture in a thin layer over the gingerbread cake. Gently place another layer of cake on top, spread more pumpkin and place the last layer, taking care not to press down and squirt out the filling.
  4. Roll some marzipan very, very thin and place on top.
  5. Carefully cut the stacked layers into small squares. Gently transfer to a serving dish.
