Prosciutto and Green Pea Creamy Pasta

Prosciutto is a very thin, salty ham that adds delicious flavoring to this recipe for Prosciutto and Green Pea Creamy Pasta.


  • 1 box Farfalle pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small white onion, chopped
  • 2 cups prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 cup green peas
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 2 cup half and half
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Begin cooking pasta in a large pot of water according to package directions.
  2. While pasta is cooking, chop onion and thinly slice prosciutto.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook onions for about 5 minutes.
  4. Toss in prosciutto and peas, cooking and stirring lightly for 3 minutes.
  5. Stir in white wine and cook till reduced by half.
  6. Stir in half and half, then heavy cream.
  7. Season with salt and pepper, then cook an additional 2 minutes.
  8. Toss sauce with cooked pasta.
  9. Mix in parmesan before serving.
