Party nachos get a new twist. Try this recipe for cheesy Nacho Bake at your next party.
Variations: 1. add black beans and corn to your layering. 2. Try it with chicken instead of beef.
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1, 12 ounce can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1/4 cup water
- 7 cups tortilla chips
- 1 package taco seasoning
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mild cheddar cheese
- 1 green onion, sliced
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Use a large skillet to brown ground beef. Drain and return to skillet.
- Add tomatoes, water and taco seasoning to meat in skillet.
- Stir and cook about 10 minutes.
- Add 1/4 cup sour cream and stir.
- In a 13x9 pan, layer chips with meat/cheese mixture. Repeat.
- Bake for about 20 minutes then top with onions and remaining sour cream.
