French Apple Pie

French Apple Pie is just as delicious as a traditional apple pie, but takes little to no dough making skills. It is very simple, quick to prepare, and the streusel topping offers a sweet, crunchiness to every bite.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Bisquick, divided
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons firm margarine or butter, plus 1 tablespoon soft
- 3 large apples
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 eggs
Directions
- Peel and thinly slice the apples. Spread around a 9-inch, greased pie plate.
- Combine 1/2 cup Bisquick, 1/2 cup sugar, milk, 1 tablespoon soft butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and eggs. Mix till smooth then pour over apples.
- In a small bowl, stir together 1/2 cup Bisquick, nuts, and brown sugar. Use a fork to cut in firm butter.
- Sprinkle crumbly topping over apple mixture and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 40-45 minutes.
