This festive crescent appetizer tree is a perfect appetizer to present at all of your holiday festivities.
Ingredients
- 1 8-oz. can crescent rolls
- 1 8-oz. tub chives and onion cream cheese spread
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 3/4 red bell pepper
- 1/4 yellow bell pepper
- 1/3 cup fresh broccoli, chopped
- 2 tablespoons baby-cut carrots, sliced
- 1 tablespoon chopped cucumber
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Remove crescent dough and cut into 16 slices.
- Place cut side down to create a "tree" shape. Think of creating a triangle out of the crescents.
- Bake 11 to 13 minutes, until golden brown.
- Cool for a few minutes, then loosen tree from cookie sheet and transfer to a cooling rack. Cool for another 15 minutes.
- Transfer tree to serving platter.
- In a small bowl, mix cream cheese spread and milk until smooth. Spread mixture on tree.
- Cut strips from the red bell pepper to create a "garland" for the tree. Chop remaining red pepper to use as decoration.
- Using a star-shaped canape cutter, form a star from the yellow bell pepper for the tree topper, then chop remaining bell pepper and sprinkle on spread.
- Sprinkle the tree with remaining veggies.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
