  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 chicken breast halves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons curry powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 cups hot cooked rice


  1. Cook chicken in hot oil in a large skillet for about 15 minutes. Brown on all sides. Remove fat from the pan.
  2. Add salt, onion, and 2 tablespoons water to skillet and bring to a boil.
  3. Cover pan and simmer chicken for 20 minutes until chicken is done.
  4. Take the chicken out and set aside.
  5. Mix the remaining ingredients (except sour cream) in the pan and bring to a boil.
  6. Lower heat and slowly stir in sour cream.
  7. Serve chicken with sauce.
