There's nothing like caramel apples from the county fair. Now, with this easy recipe for Caramel-Apple Cake, you can have that childhood favorite flavor in a delicous dessert. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream sprinkled with a little cinnamon or nutmeg.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups Bisquick
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups apple slices without peel
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup boiling water
Directions
- Combine Bisquick and sugar in a bowl. Add milk and blend until smooth.
- Pour into 9x9-inch pan and top with apples sprinkled with lemon juice.
- Stir together brown sugar and cinnamon. Cover apples and top with boiling water.
- Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 50-60 minutes.
