Basil Stuffed Shrimp with Bacon is a deliciously fresh and flavorful accompaniment to any dinner, lunch, or party. With a hint of parmesan cheese and garlic these stuffed shrimp are nearly irresistable.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons crushed red pepper
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled, deveined, and butterflied
  • 1/3 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon parmesan cheese
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 16 pieces bacon

Directions

  1. Mix together basil, Parmesan, and garlic. Spoon a little of mixture into each shrimp and press closed.
  2. Partially cook bacon for about 2-3 minutes. Drain and wrap around shrimp.
  3. Place shrimp on a greased, flat pan.
  4. Mix together oil and red pepper. Coat shrimp with sauce.
  5. Bake for 8-9 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
