1-26 oz. package frozen, shredded hash browns
1 1/2 sticks (3/4 cup) melted butter
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cups sour cream
1 teaspoon salt
1 small bunch diced green onions
paprika (not required, but makes dish look pretty)
How to make this recipe:
Partially thaw potatoes and place in large bowl, set aside. Add cheese to melted butter and stir until cheese is partially melted. Pour over potatoes. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour in large, buttered casserole dish and sprinkle with paprika. (Can refrigerate or freeze at this point.)
Bake 350 degrees for 1 hour. Time: 10 minutes to prepare, 1 hour to bake
Serves 8 - 10 easily
