Recipe: Sweet and Sour Red Cabbage

Easy! A tasty, colorful addition to a holiday spread, especially if you're not a fan of cranberry sauce. ;-)

Ingredients:
1 head red cabbage
1 cup distilled white vinegar
3/4 cup sugar

How to make this recipe:
Cut cabbage in half from top to bottom and cut out core. Cut each half into three wedges, then thinly slice.

Place cabbage, vinegar and sugar in a large, heavy pot. Cover and bring liquid to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 1.5 hours or until cabbage is tender. Serve. Notes: Notes:

This dish may be made one day ahead. Refrigerate tightly covered. Reheat in covered saucepan or in the microwave in a covered microwave safe serving dish.

15-20 minutes

Serves 10
