1 pound hamburger
1 tbs. garlic powder
1 tbs. onion powder
1 tsp. pepper
1 cup bread crumbs (italian style recomended)
1 egg
1 jar of your favorite pasta sauce
1 bag grated mozzarella Cheese
6 to 8 hoagie rolls
How to make this recipe:
Combine hamburger, garlic and onion powder, pepper, bread crumbs, and egg in a large bowl.
Mix together completely, then roll into balls about the size of a silver dollar (you might like them bigger or smaller).
Brown in large skillet on medium heat roll them constantly to kep them from burning. Drain off fat then add to a large pot with pasta sauce. Allow to simmer for 2 hours. Cut a V shape from rolls and add meatballs to the grove sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
Serve.
Notes: Some people like to add more spice to this recipe. You can do that by adding red pepper to the meatballs and the sauce.
I hope you enjoy this recipe, it takes a bit to roll the meatballs, but in the end it is worth it.
