Boneless, skinless, chicken breasts (chicken breasts are easier because they cook faster, but I have even used thighs!)
Ketchup (about a cup)
1 can of Diet Coke
Seasoning of your choice (I use Tony Chachere's)
How to make this recipe:
Grill the chicken for about 3 to 5 minutes until chicken is white on the out side. Add 1/2 of the can of Diet Coke, then squirt/brush ketchup all over, let chicken simmer for 4-5 min. Then flip and apply more ketchup to that side. Allow to cook until the insides are no longer pink. (While you are waiting you can drink the other half of the Coke!)
Finished product should be sticky dark red chicken. (My children also like the left over Coke and ketchup mixture over rice!) Served with veggies
Prep time: 35-45 minutes (if you defrosted your chicken all of the way)
