Recipe: Tender German Pork Chops

Here is a quick and easy way to make pork chops tender and juicy while adding ethnic zing to your meals! My grandmother used to put this on the stove on low at lunch and it was ready by the time the men came in from the farm fields at dinner.

Ingredients:
2 T. cooking oil
3-4 medium potatoes, chunked (peeled if using regular potatoes, skin-on if using red potatoes)
1 medium onion, peeled and coarse choppped
3-4 pork chops
1 can saurkraut
Salt and pepper to taste
1 T. caraway seeds (or thyme)

How to make this recipe:
Heat cooking oil and brown chops. In slow cooker, layer potatoes, onions, chops, kraut and spices.
Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 to 5. Notes: This recipe can also be made substituting sausage for the pork chops.

Prep time: 10 minutes

Serves 2 to 4.
