A Russian potato dish - Kartosnik

A great potato dish to compliment your meal.

Ingredients:
4 cups mashed potatoes
5 eggs, separated
1 tablespoon salt
1 cup cream
3 teaspoons baking powder

Directions:
Mix potatoes, egg yolks, salt and cream. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into mixture. Add baking powder and pour into an 8 x 12" or 9 x 12" greased pan.

Let mixture stand while heating oven to 400 F.
Bake or 25-30 minutes.

Goes great with a salad.

Serves 5-6 people
