Crockpot Italian BeefThis is a great meal for when you want something hot without standing over the stove all day! Hint: save the juice! It makes great stock for stews or soups for the winter.
Ingredients:
Beef Roast (whatever will fit in your crockpot)
1 pkg onion soup mix
1 pkg Italian seasoning (like for salad dressing)
6-7 pepperconis (found by the pickles)
1 whole head of garlic (peeled)Directions:
Place meat, soup mix, pepperconis, and garlic into crockpot. Cover with water. Cook on low 8 hours or on high 6 hours.
Don't worry about overcooking! The longer you cook, the more tender the meat.Goes great with a cucumber salad and fresh tomatoes for a nice summer lunch.
Prep time: 15 minutes
Depending on size of roast, serves 4 - 12
