Healthy cookies for kids

Healthy treats for picky little eaters!

Ingredients:
1 large banana
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup of oatmeal
1/2 cup white flour
3/4 cup wholewheat flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup macadamia nuts
1 apple

Directions:
Mash banana and mix with butter and brown sugar. In separate bowl mix dry ingredients and then mix them together. Add the nuts and apples last.

Spoon onto greased cookie sheet and bake in oven at 325 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

A wonderful afternoon snack served with a glass of milk or juice

Prep time: 30 to 45 minutes

Makes about 20 to 30 cookies
