Spaghetti SauceBest sauce that I have ever had. It has been handed down three generations from a great Italian, Great Grandmother Lucia. Great for freezeing the left over sauce for dinner on the go!
Ingredients:
2 cans(16oz.) of garlic-seasoned tomato sauce
1 large can tomato paste
1 tsp. oregano leaves
1 tbls. garlic powder
1 tsp. basil
2 bay leaves (optional)
l tbls. minced garlic
salt and pepper to taste
2 pork steaks
1 whole onion, chopped
2 stalks of celery, chopped
3 tbls. olive oil
Directions:
In a large stock pot, put the olive oil, minced garlic and brown the pork steak, on both sides. Add the onions, celery until the onions are just tender. Add the oregano, garlic powder, basil and bay leaves. Finally add the cans of tomato sauce and the tomato paste, along with four cans of water to the pot. Let simmer about three hours, longer is better.
Prep time: 15 minutes
