Fresh Chips

1/2 pkg tortillas to make homemade chips

Ingredients:
1/2 pkg of two day old tortillas
1 inch of hot oil in iron skillet {supervised}

Directions:
Cut slightly stale tortilla in a pie cut of eight pieces. Seperate. With metal tong, gently place in hot oil. Turn when light tan. Remove after both sides are tanned. Drain on paper towel. Be sure to keep apart when draining oil.

These are great with sugar/cinnamon or use with nachos or with taco salad

Oil should be only hot enough to cook but not splatter.

Prep time: 10 to 15 minutes

Serves 8 to 10.

Healthier than store brand because you choose oil type.
