Grilled balsamic pork chops are the perfect main dish for busy nights. Let the chops marinate in a simple balsamic mixture and then grill to perfection for supper. These lovely chops can also double as a quick date night supper as well.

Serves 4


  • 4 (6 ounce) bone-in pork chops
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 small shallot, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper


  1. Whisk together all ingredients except the pork chops.
  2. Pour the mixture into a large plastic resealable bag.
  3. Add the pork chops, then seal the bag.
  4. Marinate 3 to 4 hours.
  5. Remove the pork chops from the marinade.
  6. Season with salt and pepper on both sides.
  7. Preheat a grill over medium heat until very hot.
  8. Place the pork chops on the grill and cook for 5 to 7 minutes per side, turning them 1/4 turn halfway through to achieve beautiful grill marks.
  9. Let the pork chops rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
  10. Serve hot.
