Caramel Frappuccino

If we shelled out $4 and $5 every single time we wanted a cool drink, we would not be able to afford the other things we need. Not only is it cheaper to make iced chai tea lattes and caramel frappuccinos at home, but it is so much healthier, too! You can also control the level of sodium and the sugars by making these at home. The only problem you might encounter is that these are so yummy, your friends and neighbors might start showing up at your house early in the morning for their fix.

Caramel frappuccino

Serving size 2 drinks

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup extra strong coffee (espresso tastes best), cooled
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
  • 3/4 cup to 1 cup vanilla soy milk
  • 3 tablespoons caramel syrup
  • 1 to 1-1/2 cups ice
  • Homemade whipped cream
  • Caramel syrup to drizzle on top

Directions:

  1. In your blender, select the crush ice setting first and crush the ice.
  2. Next, add coffee, sugar if needed, soy milk and 3 tablespoons of the caramel syrup and blend all ingredients together.
  3. Pour into a glass and top with homemade whipped cream and drizzle caramel syrup on top.

Iced chai tea latte

Serving size 2 drinks

  • 1/2 cup water
  • Vanilla soy milk or milk of your choice
  • Ice

Directions:

  1. Brew the chai tea in 1/2 cup of boiling water and set it aside to cool.
  2. Pour cooled chai tea over ice then top with the vanilla soy milk.
  3. Stir to combine and enjoy!
