This recipe is incredibly simple, just toss everything in the slow cooker and dinner will be waiting for you whenever you are ready. This pulled pork recipe is great to make for parties because everything can be prepped ahead of time, leaving you free to enjoy the party with your guests. It also makes a wonderful weeknight meal when you don't have a lot of time to be spending in the kitchen.

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds pork tenderloin
  • 2 cups barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 1 (12 ounce) can of root beer
  • 1/8 cup packed brown sugar
  • 16 slider buns
  • Sliced cheese (optional)
  • Sliced onion (optional)

Directions:

  1. Put the pork tenderloin in a large crock pot. Combine 1 cup of barbecue sauce, tomato paste and brown sugar in a bowl and pour over the pork tenderloin.
  2. Pour in the root beer, cover and cook on low until the pork is tender and cooked through.
  3. Drain away the liquid and shred the pork with a fork. Return the shredded pork to the crock pot. Add the remaining 1 cup of barbecue sauce and toss until well coated. Serve on slider buns and garnish with cheese and onion, if desired.
